Welcome!
I live with eyes and ears wide open. Studying human and organizational dynamics through experience, research, listening, observing, and asking lots of questions.
The regular bio is below, but bio's don't write or deliver talks. People do. So I want you to know a bit about why I'm in this weird space called public speaking--something the majority of folks wouldn't do for a lottery ticket.
My fascination with what makes people tick (human dynamics) began in high school where I received permission to create an independent Psychology class. (I passed.) Later, raising and educating five sons provided opportunities to test every theory I'd read. Kind of like a grant, but where I was both funding and conducting the research.
And I read. Business. Psychology. Parenting. Self-help. Personal growth. Faith. History. Communications. Fiction---when I remembered people wrote this genre.
I helped launch a University-Model school, serving on the founding board and teaching. Took out a small loan to pay for the gallons of milk five growing boys drank. Mentored kids in speech & debate. Directed several teen theater productions.
Sat on freezing cold and blazing hot bleachers cheering for my kids as they played basketball, soccer, football, and rugby. (I'm pretty sure this last sport was invented by alcohol-fueled, testosterone-driven, adrenaline junkies.)
Taught courses from Composition to Film to U.S. History. Developed a subdivision. Flipped a house. Traveled to all 50 states and countries from North Ireland to South Africa.
My goal is to see individuals and organizations equipped for excellence. I'd love to have you join me on this mission!
